social determinant of health screening expansion at university medical associates
Physicians at UVA's University Medical Associates, a primary care clinic serving low-income patients, do not have time add patient screenings for social determinants of health (nonmedical factors like cell/internet access and feelings of loneliness which can impact medical care more than other physiological factors). Classmate Angela Wang and I designed a volunteer role for Undergraduates to help in this capacity.

I sought to facilitate discussion and collaboration between UVA's graduate and professional schools through the creation of a social groupchat.
I was a co-founder and CTO of a bioengineering startup that raised $10,000 in non-dilutive seed funding to minimize non-biodegradable polymer waste through the creation of lifestyle products like yoga blocks using agricultural waste and mushrooms.
For 3 years, I enjoyed teaching three elective courses at a public high school: Finding Yourself—guided educational and career pathfinding based on self-reflection, Cancer Crash Course—an overview of cancer in and outside of clinical settings, and Innovation, Ideation, and Invention—a design-thinking based prototyping course.
